De Vallenger Design was originally founded by Caroline Bilkey in early 2006. The company specialises primarily in personal image consulting, fashion styling and design. De Vallenger Design provides a vast range of resources to attend to your total personal aesthetic needs.

New Zealand born Caroline was presented the French family name 'de Vallenger' as a company name that could be worked internationally. Suggested by her grandparents who knew her love of design, colour and fashion, and dreams of being a part of this huge growing industry, despite being only 10 years of age!

Growing up, the De Vallenger dream became a reality. Caroline went on to attain a Bachelor of Art and Design, in Fashion (3 Years). A Nanette Cameron Interior Design Certificate (2 Years), as well as a Peta Teale Colour Design Certificate (1 Year), all completed within her time living in Auckland, New Zealand.

Caroline is currently residing in London - arguably one of the worlds biggest fashion capitals! She has worked in the fashion and interior industry for over 13 years. With her business expanding in New Zealand, as well as her love of knowledge and travel, she herself expanded abroad and relocated to South West London to pursue a new franchise of De Vallenger Design. The original Auckland business continues running alongside the London one to this day. She travels backwards and forwards during the year, not to mention to various other countries, now having Europe at her doorstep, for buying and to gather international inspiration.

Carolines experience has been vast, including roles in sales and marketing for fashion and event management. Personal image consulting, styling for advertising, television, numerous photoshoots and catwalk. As well as merchandising, contract design for companies and personell, and buying locally and internationally. Also completing an internship as assistant of the Fashion Editor of Marie Claire Magazine, in Sydney, Australia.

With Caroline's passion and flair for colour, texture, design and fashion, and an ability for foreseeing upcoming trends. She has eventuated on to create 'Maison de Vallenger' (House of de Vallenger) for De Vallenger Design.
